Branchlets glabrous: Lvs. 5-parted, the segms. pinnately lobed with rather narrow-toothed or entire lobes, 2-3 in. long, green beneath, glabrous or hairy on the veins: berries small, orange when fully ripe, some- tunes bluish before ripening. Summer; fr. in autumn. N. China. R.H. 1868, p. 10: 1883, p. 318. Gn. 5, p. 523. G. 1:396.—Very- handsome vine with finely divided foliage. Var. palmîloba, Rehd. (A. palmiloba, Carr.
