Pseudobulbs oblong-ovate, 3-5 in. high, 1-2-lvd.: lvs. oblong-lanceolate, 9-12 in. long: scapes 5-6 in. long, each bearing a single waxy n. 5-6 in. diam.; sepals ovate-oblong, white tinged with rose; petals half as long, broadly ovate, pointing forward with acute, reflexed tips, striated and tinged with dark rose; lateral lobes of the labellum erect truncate; middle lobe oblong-ovate, recurved with a fleshy tongue-shaped callus on the disk, dark crimson-purple. Guatemala. B.M. 4445. P.M. 11:1. Gn. 25:410; 30, p. 374; 37:397. F. 1861:65 (var.). A.F. 4:519. J.H. III. 34:367; 60:321. A.G. 14:433. C.L.A. 6:166. G.M. 53:894. C.O.I.
