Aspidosperma macrocarpon (syn. Aspidosperma macrocarpum Mart., Aspidosperma gardneri Müll.Arg., Aspidosperma duckei Huber ex Ducke, Aspidosperma platyphyllum Müll.Arg., Aspidosperma snethlagei Markgr., Aspidosperma verbascifolium Müll.Arg.) is a timber tree native to Brazil, which is typical of Cerrado vegetation. This plant is cited in Flora Brasiliensis by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius, and it is useful for beekeeping.
