Lomatium platycarpum, Coult. & Rose (P. simplex, Nutt.). Often tall and stout, but sometimes nearly stemless: lvs. ternate or 2-ternate, the lfts. almost filiform to linear-lanceolate: umbel 3-15-rayed, bearing yellow fls.: fr. broadly oblong to nearly orbicular, sometimes emarginate at each end. Colo, and Utah to Mont, and Wash.
