Crocus caspius, Fisch.&Mey. Conn ovoid, ¾in. or less diameter, with rigid tunic that has matted parallel fibers toward base: Leaves 4-5 in a tuft, not reaching the floorr, very narrow, with a white band and reflexed margins: perianth-tube much exserted; segments white, not striped, 1-lJi in. long; throat yellow, glabrous or slightly pubescent; anthers pale yellow or cream-colored, twice the length of filament, style-branches much exceeding anthers, slender, yellow.
