 Iris caucasica, Hoffm. Lvs. about 6: st. very short, 1-4-fld.: fls. pale or bright yellow; outer segms, with an ovate blade and a very broad rhomboidal claw, with small auricles and a toothed or ciliated crest; inner segms. oblanceolate. Caucasus to Asia Minor, etc. Gt. 1874:800. C.L.A. 9:409. dwarfer habit than I. orchioides.
