Prunus ssiori, Schmidt (Padus Ssiori, Schneid.). Smaller-fld. than P. Padus, with a smooth or only obscurely roughened stone: lvs. ovate, long-acuminate, strongly serrate with narrow teeth, not papillose beneath; petiole 1/2-1 1/2 in. long, with usually 2 or more glands at apex: raceme 4-7 in. long, glabrous; petals white, about 1/5in. long, equaling the stamens. Manchuria, Saghalin, Japan.
