Now is the time??? for planting in Texas in 2010??? Is it late enough in the year to plant my beautiful Tagets erecta (marigold) in the Hill country? We have had really cold winter here this year and I don't want to lose these little gems. they are all prize winners from last year. No greenhouse--bummer huh? I'd rather have a nice greenhouse than a new BMW--really.

I would think you should not plant them outdoors until all danger of frost is past. If you can get them going in a windowsill in the meantime, that ought to give them a head start. Good luck! --Raffi 06:07, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
