Liliaceae > Tulipa turkestanica var. ,

Tulipa turkestanica (Turkestan Tulip) is a species of tulip native to central Asia, notably Iran and Turkestan.

It is a herbaceous perennial from a bulb, growing 10 cm to 15 cm tall, with 2–4 glaucous-green leaves up to 15 cm long on each stem. The flowers are white to pinkish-red, with a yellow centre; each plant produces from 1 to 12 flowers in early spring.

Tulipa turkestanica is a popular ornamental plant, grown in rock gardens. It is a beautiful flower because of its bright colors.
